DALE – Meeker's Kristen Park hit a walk-off single to beat Okemah 6-5 Thursday and the Lady Bulldogs lost a second game to Dale 10-2 to finish their first day of the McLoud/Dale Tournament with an even 1-1 record.

Park singled to bring home Halle Calvillo for the win over Okemah in a late rally by Meeker. Trailing 5-3 going to the bottom of the seventh, Lexi Lopez singled to score Callie Sellers and kick off the late run. Kaycee Babek was hit by a pitch with bases loaded to tie the game.

Park and Madison Gabeau drove in two runs each and Gabeau had a double.

Gabeau gave up four runs on 12 hits and struck out five to earn the win.

Babek grounded out to score Lopez and Park doubled to drive in Calvillo in th bottom of the third against Dale.

Up 3-0 in the bottom of the second, Mikayla Rutland hit a two-run triple and Delanie Manning reached on an error to add two more runs.

Rutland, Rylie Premo and Jobey Savage had two hits apiece for the Lady Pirates.

Meeker will challenge Bethel today at 11:30 and Stroud at 1 for the second day of the tournament. Dale will face Stroud at 2:30. All games are at Dale.
