BRIDGE CREEK — McLoud remained at the .500 mark (15-15) Monday by splitting a doubleheader with Bridge Creek.

Bridge Creek captured the opener 4-2 after bolting to a 3-0 lead after one inning.

Both teams finished with nine hits. Gabby Sears absorbed the pitching loss after striking out two and walking two.

Jessie Wooten and Shyann Shipman collected two singles apiece for McLoud. The Lady Redskins scored both of their runs in the third.

McLoud rebounded for a 10-7 nightcap victory, amassing 15 hits in the process.

Callie Cardin sparked McLoud’s offense with a 4 of 5 production – three singles and a triple.

Karlee Higdon went 3 of 3, all singles, while Katelyn Hoover and Wooten chipped in with two singles each. Hoover also had two sacrifice bunts.

Sears claimed the nightcap pitching win with a seven-hitter.

McLoud will entertain Blanchard in a 5 p.m. district game today. Blanchard defeated McLoud earlier in the season.
