DALE – There was no question who was the better team Tuesday in a district title game between Dale and Cordell. The Lady Pirates proved the point early into a 17-0 win in the first game and took the second 12-0.

The hits started coming early in the first game as the girls put 14 runs on the board in the bottom of the first inning and tacked on another three in the second. They didn't have to bat in the third.

The second game took a little longer to get going, by no fault of Dale's.

London Calvillo, Mikayla Rutland and Jobey Savage were each hit by pitches to lead off the bottom of the first. Calvillo scored on a passed ball and the other two were brought in on a double by Delanie Manning. Manning herself scored on another wild pitch.

Rutland drove in Calvillo in the second inning and scored on a wild pitch to add two more runs and the girls rallied with five runs in the third before Kaylee Lawson drove in the walk-off run with a single to center.

Manning finished the series 3-3 with five RBI and two doubles and Rutland was 3-4, doubled and drove in four runs. Rylie Premo was 3-4 with an RBI and Emmie Idleman was 3-4 with four RBI. Montana Lam was 2-2 in the first game and drove in two runs, Sara Lock scored a run after drawing a walk and two more came in as she reached on an error and Savage was 1-1 with an RBI in the first game and was hit by two pitches.

In the circle, Manning gave up one hit and struck out seven in game one and Calvillo fanned two and walked one to finish with a no-hitter in the second game.
