ASHER — There were few Class B district tournament obstacles for Asher Thursday as the Lady Indians bombed Wapanucka 9-0 and Mill Creek 14-0.

Jordan Odell surrendered one single in a six-inning pitching stint against Wapanucka. Odell fanned nine and didn’t register a strikeout.

Rayanna Cheatwood, Braxten Frazier, Cheyenne Kauley and Odell notched two hits each. Cheatwood and Shelby Dixson had a double apiece. Frazier scored three times while Sarah Fleming and Kauley drove in two runs.

It took Asher just 2 ½ innings to run-rule Mill Creek. Asher scored five runs in the first and nine in the second.

Odell didn’t give up a hit, whiffed eight and didn’t issue a base on balls.

Fleming went 3 for 3 with a triple, double and four runs batted in. Frazier added three singles and scored three runs. Bailey Larman scored three times.

Asher, 19-9, advances to regionals Thursday, Sept. 28.
