Dale crushed Santa Fe South 12-0 and 9-1 in a pair of games to take the District title easily Thursday night.

In the first game, the Pirates jumped out to an early 3-0 lead. David Herring started the bottom half of the first with a double to later score on a passed ball and Scout Capps drove in two runs on a double.

It was more Dale in the bottom half of the second inning as Jonathon Johnson and Austin Custar opened with back-to-back singles. Herring recorded his second double of the game to extend the Pirates lead to 5-0. Blake McQuain grounded out to score Herring.

The rally continued with a Drew Reed single that scored Crawford and Cooper Hunt singled to score Capps and put the Pirates up 8-0.

Dale added another four runs in the third to win on a 12-0 run rule.

Herring and Crawford each recorded three hits in the win. Herring scored three runs and drove in two and Gant Hathcock chipped in two hits, two runs and an RBI.

The Pirates rallied with four runs in the bottom of the fifth in game two for the walk-off win on a passed ball that allowed Hunt to score.

Crawford led in hitting, going 3-3 with two doubles and driving in one run. Johnson was 2-2 with a walk and Reed had a double and drove in one run.

Reed got the start and pitched one inning to give up one hit. Hunt pitched two and struck out three and Crawford allowed one run while fanning four and walking two.
