MOORE, Okla.- The Cavaliers (11-6, 2-3 SAC) traveled to Moore, Okla. on Tuesday evening and took down the Randall University Saints (11-8) in five sets. The Cavs started the match red hot, as they won the first set 25-12, and followed that with another dominant 25-14 win in the second set. The Saints would battle back though, as they'd take the next two sets from the Cavs to force a fifth set. St. Gregory's finished the match strong with a 15-11 win in the fifth and final set to win the match.

The Cavaliers once again had an extremely strong performance at the serving line, as they recorded an impressive 15 aces as a team. Kayley Davis (SO/Irving, Texas) recorded a match-high with 4 aces, Murphy, Ware, and Clark added three a piece, and Natahsha Rodriguez chipped in two more aces for the squad. SGU also had one of their best nights at the net, as they recorded 16 blocks as a team.

Courtney Murphy (SR/Tulsa, Okla.) led the Cavaliers offense in kills with 11, and she also hit for a .261 attack percentage. Murphy also collected a match high in blocks with 6, and she also added three aces while serving. Gabby Ware (JR/San Antonio, Texas) finished the match with 8 kills to go with 7 digs, and she also recorded three aces. BreAnna Smoak (JR/Iowa Park, Texas) had a very efficient night at the net, finishing with 7 kills on only 12 attempts for a .417 attack percentage. Sarah Ahrens (JR/Wichita Falls, Texas) recorded a team high in assists with 17, and Sunny Clark (JR/Dublin, Texas) followed close behind with 15 assists. Kayley Davis collected a team-high 14 digs in the match.

The Cavaliers will be on the road this weekend as they play at Panhandle State University on Sept. 29, and then against Wayland Baptist University a day later on Sept. 30. The Cavs take on OPSU at 7 PM, and then WBU at 11 AM the following morning.
