Shawnee’s Lady Wolves, 18-10 on the season, were rained out of a home assignment versus Choctaw Thursday.
Coach David Rolette’s squad hopes to play Monday. Rolette said his squad would either take on Varnum in Shawnee or Norman in Norman.
Shawnee is scheduled to launch regional play Thursday, Oct. 5 in Shawnee. Joining the Lady Wolves will be Tulsa Hale, Skiatook and Collinsville.
•Bethel’s girls, 20-12, were scheduled to entertain Ada Thursday in a Class 4A double-elimination bi-district but rain forced a postponement. The two teams will try again today beginning at 1 p.m. at Bethel.
Coach Chad Smith of Bethel said if three district games are necessitated, they would all be played today.
• McLoud, 16-18, was also slated to play a 4A bi-district at Cache but fell victim to rain problems. Coach Chance Griffin’s squad will try again today, beginning at noon.
• Asher (20-9) was scheduled to play Thursday in a Class B four-team regional in Varnum, but all of that action was postponed until today. Maysville and Varnum will tangle at noon with Asher opposing Lookeba-Sickles at 2 p.m. The first-round losers will play at 4 with the first-round winners colliding at 6.
• Maud’s regional at Kiowa was postponed until today. The Lady Tigers will meet Kiowa at 2:30 p.m. In today’s other first-round matchup, Milburn will meet New Lima.
