TECUMSEH — Pitchers Colbie Meeks and Channing Scallorn were dominant Thursday as Tecumseh blitzed Madill, 11-1 and 10-0, in bi-district action.

In the first game, stopped in the fourth inning on the run rule, Meeks allowed one hit, a double. She whiffed three and didn’t issue a walk. Of her 47 pitches, 37 were strikes.

Tecumseh, which pounded out 13 hits, scored eight runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Scallorn, the leadoff hitter, went 3 for 3, including a triple. She scored three times.

Haylee Alexander, Taylor Walker, Baylee Kennedy and Meeks added two hits apiece.

Walker authored a triple. Kalie Johnson, Harley Sturm and Meeks head a double apiece.

Walker was the RBI leader with three.

The second game provided the same story as Tecumseh reeled off nine runs in the bottom of the fourth to conclude play.

Tecumseh garnered 12 hits as Sierra Price, Kennedy, Sturm, Walker and Scallorn netted two apiece. Scallorn, Sturm and Walker had a double apiece. Price scored three times.

Scallorn didn’t give up a hit in the 32-pitch outing. She walked one batter and struck out three.

“Our pitchers threw well today,” Tecumseh coach Chad Trahan said. “We didn’t make an error. Any time you get pitching and defense, you have a chance to win. We are also swinging the bat very well.”

Tecumseh, 20-10, will compete in the Oklahoma Christian Festival Saturday. The Savages will take on Jenks at 10:30 a.m.
