BETHEL ACRES — It was clear sailing for Bethel in bi-district action Friday.

After being rained out Thursday, the Lady Wildcats pounded Ada 11-1 and 11-0 to advance to next week’s regional play.

In Friday’s opener, pitcher Jordyn Zachary struck out 12 in a five-inning two-hitter. She didn’t give up a walk.

Bethel combined nine hits with five walks. Maylin Hladik and Zachary each had a triple. Hladik drove in two runs and scored twice.

Mya Green went 3 for 4 with a double and drove in two runs.

In the second game, Hladik tossed a six-inning four-hitter. She whiffed eight and walked two.

Bethel accumulated 12 hits with Hladik at 3 of 3 with two RBI and two runs scored. Karlie Lamb and Lila Wade posted a double apiece. Wade, Rayah Mayo and Reanna McGowen finished with two hits each.

Bethel, 22-12, advances to next week’s regional bracket. Coach Chad Smith’s squad will entertain Washington at 4:30 Monday.
