ELGIN — Spurred by a no-hitter by Jordyn Zachary, Bethel upended Elgin 7-0 Thursday in a Class 4A regional tournament championship game.

Zachary fanned 12 batters and walked three as Bethel advanced to next week’s state tournament at Oklahoma City’s Hall of Fame Tournament.

Bethel (25-14) scored all seven of its runs in the bottom of the second inning.

Karlie Lamb propelled Bethel’s 11-hit attack with three singles in four plate appearances.

Reanna McGowen, Maylin Hladik and Peyton Meiler added two singles apiece.

McGowen drove in two runs. Rayah Mayo, Hladik, Lamb and Meiler had one RBI each.

Bethel didn’t commit an error and stranded six runners. Elgin posted two errors.

The Lady Wildcats lauched the regional Tuesday with victories over Bridge Creek (4-2) and Elgin (2-0).
