ADA — The Cougars of Ada rolled up 456 yards of offense Friday night while defeating Tecumseh 47-19.

Quarterback Jackson McFarlane chalked up 152 rushing yards to go along with 163 passing yards. McFarlane completed 10 of 15 passes without an interception.

Ada led the visitors 7-6 after one quarter but went on a 27-0 binge in the second quarter for a 34-6 halftime cushion.

Tecumseh’s Brayden James scored on a 13-yard first-quarter run. Fellow senior Tiyee Ryan caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from James in the third quarter.

Tecumseh finished with 264 total yards but suffered three interceptions.

Lincoln Gibson of Ada caught four passes for 93 yards, including touchdown efforts of 63 and 10 yards.

Tecumseh registered 20 first downs.

The Savages fell to 1-2 in District 4A-2. Tecumseh is 3-3 overall.

Ada improved to 4-2 overall and 3-0 in the district.
