MADILL — Seminole dominated the line of scrimmage Friday night in overwhelming Madill 44-7 n a District 3A-4 confrontation.
The Chieftains of coach Mike Snyder led 44-0 at halftime and primarily utilized reserves following halftime. Officials also employed a running clock the second half.
Seminole rushed for 258 yards on 42 carries, a 6.1-yard average. Contrastingly, Madill was limited to 57 rushing yards on 27 carries, a 2.1-yard average.
Jamon Dennis, the leading rusher with 122 yards on 10 carries, scored on runs of 30 and 22 yards to open the game.
A 95-yard punt return by Jordan Rodriguez gave the visitors a 20-0 lead after one quarter.
Chico Baker caught a 37-yard pass from Cade Hammond to launch the second quarter, followed by a 57-yard Cameron Gunville scoring romp.
Baker concluded the game’s scoring with a 70-yard interception return.
Gunville rushed for 71 yards on eight carries.
Madill recorded just 24 yards through the air and had two passes intercepted — by Baker in the opening half and Sabion Battles in the second half.
Hammond completed 4 of 8 aerials for 111 yards without an interception.
Seminole incurred just one penalty for five yards.
The Chieftains improved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in district play.
Madill dropped to 0-3 in 3A-4 and 3-4 overall.
Seminole will travel to Lone Grove Friday night.
