BETHANY, Okla.- Hanna Arthur (FR/Yukon, Okla) extended her goal scoring streak to five games, in heroic fashion, as she scored the game winning goal with less than 6 minutes remaining in regulation time. The Cavaliers (5-5, 1-2 SAC) took down the Eagles of Southwestern Christian University (4-8, 1-4 SAC) on Tuesday afternoon in Bethany. Sara Solano (JR/Houston, Texas) gave the Cavs the 1-0 lead only 16 minutes into the game, but then the Eagles were able to find the back of the net, to tie the game at one, in the thirty-sixth minute of the game. With time winding down, late in regulation, Concepcion Laborin (SO/Windsor, Calif.) delivered a long pass up the middle of the field to Arthur, who then beat the keeper one-on-one for the game winning goal.
Arthur's goal was her team-leading seventh goal of the season, and Solano's tally was her second goal of the season so far. Concepcion Laborin's assist on Arthur's goal was her second of the season, and Nathaly Lopez (JR/Cerritos, Calif.) picked up her first assist and point of the season on Solano's strike. Mallory Adams (SR/Edmond, Okla.) picked up her fifth win of the season, and she made 7 saves against SCU.
