BETHANY — Paced by 18 points from Cheyenne Banks and 12 from Katelyn Hoover, McLoud’s girls captured the Bethany Classic consolation championship with a 48-34 decision over Western Heights Saturday.

McLoud (5-7) notched seven treys with Hoover and Callie Cardin sinking two apiece.

The Lady Redskins led 28-13 at halftime and 44-19 after three quarters.

Brittany Vince of Western Heights had 14 points, including three 3-point field goals.


In another consolation matchup, Casady outscored McLoud 17-8 in the last eight minutes for a 67-56 victory.

McLoud (5-7) received 24 points from Chance Mahtapene and 18 from Brandon Vinson.

The Redskins canned 14 of 19 shots from the free-throw line.
