SHAWNEE—The Shawnee Wolves earned a 39-31 district dual win over the visiting Durant Lions, Tuesday night.

The Wolves took advantage in the lighter weights earning pins at 106 lbs, 113 lbs, 132 lbs, and at 160 lbs. Isaac Bertram (106 lbs) started the proceedings with a pin :26 into the match over Preston Lewis. Justus Sparks then pinned Jared Pierce at 2:59 at 113 lbs. Jose Cervantes kept things rolling for the Wolves with their third pin at 132 lbs. Cervantes pin came at the 5:50 mark.

Durant kept within striking distance with a fall at 126 lbs and a 5-0 decision at 138 pounds.

Xavier Grass pinned Durant's Ty Rudolph at 160 lbs at the 2:35 mark to give Shawnee enough of a lead to hang onto the dual victory.

The Lions won four out of the final matches, but saw their hope of winning fade when Shawnee's Garret Hopkins pinned Jesus Galvez :44 seconds into the 220 lb tussle.
