HARRAH – Harrah's Brett Cunningham scored 17 points to lead the Panthers in a 57-42 romp over Bethel Saturday.

The Wildcats kept close with a 10-7 difference after the first quarter, but a 19-11 Harrah run in the second gave them a big boost before the half. Harrah stayed one step ahead the rest of the way to take the win.

Jaylon Gordon had 11 points to lead Bethel in scoring and Ben Pfeiff had nine. Tyler Boswell and Drae Wood each contributed seven points and Anthony Frankline put in four.

Bethel (7-6) hosts No. 7 in Class 2A Christian Heritage Tuesday before heading to the Jones tournament Thursday through Saturday.

HARRAH – Bethel had a 59-35 road loss at top-ranked in 4A Harrah Saturday night to fall to 5-9 on the season.

The Lady Panthers got off to a quick start, outscoring Bethel 22-6 in the first quarter and 40-16 by the halfway point.

Bethel ruled the third quarter with a 14-9 run but Harrah came back and held on for the win.

Harrahs' Erika Ankney led all scorers with 19 points, Ali Brzozowski had 16 and Katie King contributed 12.

Brooke Shaw led the scoring attack for the Lady Wildcats with 11 points, Paige Hubler had nine and Kelsie Wood had eight. Kirsten Winters and Kennedy Gregory each finished with three points and Faith Hanna had one.

Bethel will host No. 1 in Class 2A Christian Heritage Tuesday and play in a tournament at Jones next weekend.
