McLOUD — A profitable third quarter carried McLoud’s girls to a 47-37 triumph over Okema Friday night.
Up 23-18 at halftime, coach Doug Armstrong’s squad applied some icing with a 17-9 run in the third quarter.
Katelyn Hoover and Lexie Boyer keyed McLoud’s offense with 10 points apiece. Karlie Norwood chipped in with nine. Callie Cardin, Kailyn Logan, Hoover and Norwood each had a 3-point field goal.
McLoud’s biggest lead was 15 points.
Morgan Bean led Okemah (5-8) with 10 points.
McLoud (6-8) will tangle with Meeker at 4 p.m. Monday in first-round action of the Route 66 Tournament at Prague.
