Shawnee wrestling had a pair of good wins Thursday night after a tough home loss on Tuesday. The Wolves took down Carl Albert 48-18 and Ada, 52-18 on the road.
Caleb Nahmahpeah won a 5-2 decision against Austin Renfro in the 113-pound match against Carl Albert and Justus Sparks won the round against Ada's Jayden Brown, 12-1.
Jose Cervantes won both of his matches in the 132-pound weight class with a pin in the Carl Albert dual and a forfeit against Ada. Chance Anders split in the 182 with a pin against Carl Albert's Caked Zangari but lost a 4-2 decision to Ada's Konner Gallagher.
Garret Hopkins won a 4-2 decision over Carl Albert's Colton Chappell and won via forfeit against ada in the 220-pound weight class and Coby Ezell won both of his heavyweight matches. Ezell pinned Carl Albert's Matt Bernard and Ada's Blake Pettigrew to take the win.
“We had two good wins after a tough loss on Tuesday night. I’m proud of the way they bounced back” Shawnee coach Larry James said.
The Wolves travel to Norman North Tuesday.
