SHAWNEE – A strong second half offensive performance came up short in Oklahoma Baptist's 77-71 loss to Henderson State in the Noble Complex Thursday.
OBU scored 45 second-half points against the Reddies but couldn't overcome what was at one point in the first half an 18-point deficit.
Lexi Williams scored 14 of her 19 points in the third quarter but fouled out in the fourth. Shaylan Coleman had 18 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals. McKenzie Cooper and Tasha Edge had a dozen points each.
Autumn Avina had a team-best seven rebounds for OBU.
Pink Jones led HSU with 19 points with Bree Bossier adding 14. Both Reddies had nine rebounds each.
The Lady Bison return to action with a 1 p.m. home game, Saturday, against Ouachita Baptist.
