PRAGUE — It was business as usual for Prague’s Class 3A third-ranked girls Friday night as they smacked Tecumseh 74-25.

Prague (19-1) never trailed, led 46-12 at halftime and pulled its starters in the third quarter.

Freshman Chantae Embry led the carnage with 27 points with Morgan Cooper contributing 10. Macyn Anderson, with 9 points, was one of eight other Lady Red Devils to score.

Anderson converted two 3-point field goals. Embry and teammate Jaycee Johnson added one 3-pointer apiece.

Tecumseh was led in scoring by Annie Boatman with 8.

Prague was 24 of 40 from the field for 60 percent. Coach Benny Burnett’s squad was just 4 of 16 from 3-point range.

“We jumped on them from the start,” Burnett said. “We are really coming together as a team.”

Embry racked up 13 rebounds.

Prague will be home again tonight opposite Meeker.

Tecumseh will entertain McLoud Tuesday night.

Boys

A splendid free-throw shooting effort carried Prague to a 64-51 victory over Tecumseh.

The Red Devils (16-5) canned 19-of-23 free throws for 82.6 percent.

Gage Cantrell, who tallied a game-high 22 points, joined Prague teammates Haden Hall, Brady Thorpe and Zadden Jones with 4-of-4 free-throw nights.

Isaac Bloomer, a 12-point scorer for Prague, was 2 of 2 at the line. Bloomer also recorded two of Prague’s three 3-point field goals.

Jayden Shafer connected on four field goals from beyond the arc in sharing Tecumseh scoring honors with Anthony Billy with 14. Zathan Bowman finished with 11 points and Kameron Permetter chipped in with 8 for Tecumseh (12-9).

Prague outscored Tecumseh 23-15 in the final quarter.
