HARRAH – The No. 14 in Class 6A Shawnee girls got revenge for one of their few losses this season Saturday as they traveled to Harrah to take down the 4A No. 2 Lady Panthers 61-58 in overtime. Harrah handed 18-3 Shawnee a loss to start the season on Nov. 28.

The Lady Wolves trailed Harrah 15-8 after the first quarter and 34-21 at the half. A 19-10 Shawnee run in the third shortened the lead to 44-42 and tied up at 53 by the end of regulation.

Kasey Rice led the Lady Wolves with 18 points and eight boards, Lauren Fields had 14 and Makyra Tramble put in 15 with eight rebounds. Monica Brooks had eight points and three assists and Jasmine Martinez had six points and five rebounds.

The win was Shawnee's 11th straight as they prepare to host Noble Tuesday for their Senior Night game.

Boys

Chase Morris had a 24 point performance Saturday as Shawnee beat Harrah on the road, 70-66 to improve to 9-13 on the season.

Tied up at 15 after the first, Shawnee pulled ahead 32-30 going to the halftime break. The Wolves kept the momentum up to move ahead 49-41 after three and held off the Panthers to take the win.

Morris had 24 points and eight boards and Carson Meier had 20 with six rebounds. LJ McKissick contributed 13 points, Shaun Willis chipped in six and Ramey Harrison had four.

Drew Brock led Harrah with 22 points, Brett Cunningham had 13 and Hunter Taber added 12 on four 3-pointers.

Shawnee hosts Noble Tuesday at 8 p.m. in their Senior Night game.
