OKLAHOMA CITY — The Class 2A third-ranked Dale girls were the recipients of a stunning 48-45 overtime loss to Luther Friday night in a Class 2A winners’ bracket contest.

Dale was outscored 5-2 in overtime.
Poor free-throw shooting, 9 of 20 for 45 percent, allowed Dale to drop to 23-4 on the season. The Lady Pirates saw their five-game winning streak snapped. Dale hadn’t loss since Jan. 30.
Luther was 9 of 14 from the charity stripe for 64.2 percent.
Maia Wright, with 17 points, was Luther’s leading scorer. Caitlin Bailey of Luther added 13 points.
