McLoud's Jakob Hudlow and Shawnee's Caleb Nahmahpeah ended their state tournament wrestling bids at the State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City Saturday. Both were in the consolation bracket following the first day of action and were the two remaining of five area wrestlers.
Hudlow opened the day with a win by fall in 5:19 over Tuttle's Gage Loard to earn a spot in the third-place match of the Class 4A, 152-pound weight class.
He lost to Josh Swanson of Cache in an 8-4 decision to finish in fourth-place.
Nahmahpeah took on Edmond Memorial's Jackson Oplotnik in his consolation semifinal match for the 113-pound weight class in Class 6A. He lasted through the first period, but lost by fall in 4:15 to miss out on a shot at third.
