SEMINOLE – The Shawnee girls tennis team took first as a team at Seminole Saturday led by top placers Kristen Gilbert in No. 1 singles and Olivia Stobbe in No. 2.

Gilbert beat Faith Swan of Harrah 6-3, 6-1, Jacquita Garcia of US Grant 6-1, 6-3, Northwest Classen's Megan Molnar 6-4, 6-4 and Ximena Sanchez of Western Heights 6-4, 7-5.

Stobbe also went lossless with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Molly Fry of Harrah and went 6-1, 6-0 two times to beat US Gran'ts Stephanie Young and Lilly Muncy of Northwest Classen. She excaped a loss with a 4-6, 6-0 (10-3) win over Seminole's Gabby Clayton.

In No. 1 doubles, Karsyn Reed and Kayla Garza finished fourth after beating Northwest Classen 6-1, 6-0. They lost to Seminole 6-5, 46 (7-10) and US Grant beat them 6-1, 5-7 (10-12).

Lyla Boutdara-Stout and Grace Bryant finished second in No. 2 doubles with a 6-1, 6-4 (11-9) win over Seminole and 6-1, 6-0 win over US Grant. The girls lost to Harrah 6-3, 7-5 (8-10).

The girls travel to Ada Saturday.
