The No. 14 in Class 6A Shawnee girls basketball team nearly pulled off the upset over No. 2 Bartlesville for a spot in next week's state tournament, but a questionable foul put Bartlesville at the line late in the fourth to get the 34-32 win.

Trailing 29-22 with 1:01 to go, Lauren Fields made a layup and drew a foul for the and-one and Makyra Tramble pulled off a steal to set up a bucket amd make it a 29-27 game. A short time later, Fields hit a three to get within one at 31-30 and Bartlesville went to the line. Trailing 32-30 Tramble hit a floater with 12.6 seconds left and Kasey Rice was called for a foul on the inbound pass to send Jena Williams to the line for Bartlesville.

Williams made both and the Lady Wolves were unable to get them back.

Shawnee trailed 13-6 at the half and went on a 15-10 ru in the fourth to tigthen things up.

Fields led all scorers with 16 points, Tramble had 10 and Rice and Saidey Smith each had two. Tramble had 15 rebounds and Monica Brooks finished with six boards.

Avery Allen led Bartlesville with 15 points and Williams had 13.

The Lady Wolves finish the season with a record of 22-5.
