MCLOUD – The Redskins of McLoud moved to 2-0 on the season Friday as they toppled Cushing 9-6 at home.

The Redskins trailed Cushing 6-5 after the fifth but rallied with four runs in the bottom of the sixth and held off cushing to take the win.

Tyler Jones went 2-4 with a double and drove in five runs and Wyatt Olds had two hits with a double.

Zac Green earned the win on the mound after giving up four hits, striking out six and walking one in four innings of work. Damien Dye came in for two relief innings and struck out three and gave up four hits and Josh Maddox struck out two in one inning.

The Redskins will face off with Meeker Saturday at 11 a.m. at Meeker.
