SHAWNEE – The Shawnee boys soccer team earned their third straight win to stay undefeated early into the season Friday with a 6-0 home shutout against McAlester.

Josh Floyd got the scoring started with a goal 11 and a half minutes into the game and Tim Guptill added another 8:30 later to go up 2-0.

Floyd earned his second goal of the game in the 29th minute and Lucas Gann added another in the 38th.

Cade Mikish made a throw-in as McAlester made an own goal and Seth King scored the final goal in the 64th minute.

Tristaan Haddad didn't get much action in the goal but made four saves to keep the shutout intact in the first half. Sebastian Rodriguez replaced Haddad in the second half but was never threatened by McAlester's offense.

The Wolves were escorted to the field by the 2017 recreational state champion U8 Avengers.

The girls JV team won their game prior to the boys with a goal by Hailey Satterfield with 10:24 left in the game for a 1-0 win.

Shawnee travels to Noble Tuesday. The Girls start at 5:30 and the boys will play at 7:30.
