WELLSTON – Prague had the advantage but a four-run seventh inning gave Wellston a 9-8 win at Wellston Monday.

The Red Devils fell behind 5-0 after a five-run second by Wellston but rebounded with three runs in the top of the third and four in the fourth to take the advantage.

Mason cooper doubled to drive in Alex Anderson for the Red Devils' first run and Cullen Davis doubled to bring home Cooper and and Jake Schultz to make it a 5-3 game in the third.

Cooper singled to bring in Anderson and Tyler Carpenter with two outs in the fourth and Davis singled to left ot bring in Cooper and Isaac Bloomer and take the Red Devils first lead of the game.

Anderson doubled to drive in Logan Johnson in the top of the seventh.

Davis went 2-4 and doubled to drive in four runs and Cooper was 2-3 with a double to bring in three runs. Anderson doubled and tripled and was 3-4 to drive in one and Bloomer was 4-4. Johnson was 3-4 and Carpenter went 2-4.

Bloomer was handed the loss on the mound after giving up four runs on three hits. He struck out two and walked three.

Schultz got the start and went for four innings, striking out four and walking three. He gave up five runs on six hits.

Prague (2-3) travels to Latta today at 4:30 p.m.
