NORMAN – The Shawnee boys track team finished third at Norman Saturday while the girls took 10th.

Clifford Littleton took first in the 3200 race with a time of 9:50.051, completely blitzing second-place finisher TJ guess of Norman North in 10:13.08. Littleton finished third in the 1600 with a time of 4:29.32 and Brice Koons finished in 4:49.12 for 10th.

Kylan Hernandez took second in the boys 110-meter hurdle with a time of 14.62 and Darrius Blackshire took third in 15.57. The two switched up in the 300 as Blackshire finished in 39.34 for second and Hernandez finished third in 39.60.

The Boys 4x800 relay team finished just behind Edmond Memorial to take second in the event with a time of 8:06.93. The 4x400 team took fifth with a time of 3:29.93.

In the fielding events, Donovan Neal went 19-01.75 in the long jump for fourth and Isaiah Willis took sixth with 18-10.05. Braden Barlean went up 12-09 to finish second in the pole vault and Josh Wilder and Trenton Skinner finished fourth and fifth at 12-03.

"Boys did very well and are showing that they will be one of the top teams in class 6a this year," coach Aaron Partridge said.


Madison Converse took fourth in the girls 100m hurdle with a time of 16.33 and first in the 300 hurdle after posting a 47.15 finish.

Kaleigh Simmons took second in the long jump with a 15-11.05 jump and Haley Wood posted a height of 10-02 in the pole vault for second.

The girls 4x400 team finished fourth with a time of 4:17.26.

"The girls team will be good they are still trying to get into shape," Partridge said. "Every day they are improving and will look to start challenging the top three of the meets like the boys have."
