MCLOUD — Starting hurler Tyler Thompson permitted six hits in six innings Tuesday as Tecumseh knocked off McLoud 6-2.

Thompson was touched for two runs, both earned. He whiffed five and walked two in a 91-pitch outing.

Kameron Permetter, in one inning of relief, didn’t allow a run while giving up one hit.

The Savages, who defeated McLoud 3-2 Monday at Tecumseh, jumped out to a 6-0 lead Tuesday with four runs in the third and two runs in the fourth.

Gage Boatman and Byron Thompson fueled Tecumseh’s six-hit attack with two singles apiece.

Tristian Anthony of Tecumseh had a two-run double.

McLoud committed five errors, leading to four unearned runs.

Zac Green paced McLoud’s seven-hit attack with two singles.

The Savage, 2-4, will entertain Mount St. Mary Friday at 5 p.m., then host Chandler at noon Saturday.
