PRAGUE – Meeker split games with Spiro to win the championship round of the Prague Tournament Saturday. The Bulldogs lost their first game to No. 20 in Class 3A Spiro 4-1 but won the next 6-2 to take the contest. They blasted Spiro 10-1 Friday.

Trailing 2-1 in the top of the third in the 6-2 win, Budgie Cameron hit into a fielder's choice to bring in Jacob Martin and tie things up. Johnny Jones homered to go ahead 4-2 and Jacob Sellers singled to drive in Dakota Gabbert.

James Green scored from third on a dropped third strike to Kade Brewster in the sixth.

Raceton Sedlacek and Brewster had two hits each and Green had a triple.

Jones pitched the completed game and allowed two runs on three hits. He fanned seven and walked two.

Spiro 4, Meeker 1

The Bulldogs grabbed five hits and one run in their only loss of the day as Green singled to score Gabbert with two out in the bottom of the seventh. Spiro rallied for four runs in the fourth.

Cameron had two hits and Gabbert, Green and Sedlacek each collected one.

Caleb Patterson pitched the complete game and walked two and struck out four.

The Bulldogs (9-3) will play Healdton at Bricktown Ballpark Thursday at 4 p.m.
