VARNUM – Trevor Martin helped lead Asher to a pair of wins Monday at Varnum against Varnum and Maud. The Indians destroyed Varnum 16-0 in the first game of the day and won out the second 5-0 against Maud.

Martin pitched a three inning no-hitter against Varnum and was one walk from perfection in that time. He fanned six and Jake Dobbs closed things out.

The Indians' ace had two hits with a double and four RBI to lead the offensive attack. Braden Sanders had the same line to drive in three runs and Brock Williamson had two doubles and brought two runs home.

The Indians raked for 10 runs in the fourth.

Martin and Cam Grissom each had two hits with a double against Maud and Michael McDonald had two hits.

Two runs were driven in for Asher in the first and three more were added in the third.

Sanders threw for four innings and gave up three hits and struck out eight. Dobbs closed out the final three innings and sat three and allowed two hits.

Asher (6-4) will travel to Konawa for a pair of games Thursday beginning at 4:30.
