SEMINOLE – Jayden Shafer drove in four runs and the Savages of Tecumseh took down Seminole 14-2 Monday at Seminole.

The Savages got out to a 3-0 lead before going on five and six run rallies in the fourth and fifth innings. Kullen Meadows doubled to center to bring home Andrew Lewis and Kane Ainsworth and Shafer singled to drive in a pair of runs. Tristian Anthony hit a sacrifice to left to put Tecumseh up 8-0.

Walks and errors scored all six runs in the top of the fifth.

Shafer was 2-3 and Lewis, Ainsworth and Caleb Kelsey were each walked twice.

Shafer also pitched a four inning 1-hitter to earn the win on the mound. He struck out eight and walked four. Caleb Kelsey closed things out and walked three and gave up two runs.

Justin Harrison, Toby Gentry and Jace Johnson each walked twice for the Chieftains. Harrison and Kaden Allison each scored a run in the bottom of the fifth.

Tecumseh hosts Seminole today at 1 p.m.
