DALE — Bryce Crawford, in a route-going pitching performance, allowed four hits as Dale upended Berryhill 7-2 Thursday at the Tuttle Tournament.
Crawford fanned six and walked four in seven innings. Berryhill scored single runs in he fifth and sixth innings.
Crawford also hit two batters.
Dale was never seriously pressed after scoring four runs in the bottom of the first.
Carson Hunt, Scout Capps and Drew Reed posted two hits apiece. Hunt and teammate Blake McQuain had a double apiece.
Hunt led the victors with three runs batted in. Capps and Jono Johnson scored two runs each.
Dale finished with nine hits and played errorless ball. Berryhill collected three errors.
Reed had a sacrifice fly while Hunt stole a base. Dale stranded seven runners.
The Pirates, 6-0, will continue Tuttle Tournament action today, meeting Elgin at 4:30 and the OKC Broncos at 6:40.
