ASHER – A 29-point performance over five innings of work catapulted Asher past Konawa and Wanette Thursday night. The Indians beat Konawa 16-0 and Wanette/Macomb 13-0, each game lasted 2.5 innings and Asher never came to bat in the third.

Trevor Martin led the offensive onslaught against Konawa with a double, homer and four RBI on three hits. Cam Grissom had a double and three RBI on two hits and the Indians put on 10 runs in the first and six in the bottom of the second.

Braden Sanders gave up three hits and struck out one to earn the win on the mound. Junior Hasbell earned his first win of the season after giving up two hits against Wanette. He struck out five and walked one.

Sanders put on two hits for a double, homer and three RBI to lead the Indians in the second game. Martin had two doubles and drove in two runs and Michael McDonald drove in two runs on two hits and had a double.

Asher moves to 8-4 on the season with the win and is scheduled to host Star Spencer at 4 p.m. today for a double-header.
