TECUMSEH — In a windy, walk-filled matchup Thursday, Chickasha outlasted Tecumseh 14-9.
Tecumseh recorded six hits and was the recipient of 14 walks from four Chickasha hurlers but stranded 15 baserunners.
Five Tecumseh hurlers combined to surrender 10 hits while doling out nine walks. Chickasha left 10 runners stranded. There were also a combined seven hit batsmen with Tecumseh’s Will Hilton getting plunked twice.
Kameron Permetter, batting in the second hole for Tecumseh, went 2 for 2 with a double, the Savages’ only extra-base hit. Permetter also walked twice, scored twice and recorded two runs batted in.
Tristian Anthony of Tecumseh was 2 of 2 at the plate and scored twice.
Kullen Meadows and Hilton also scored twice as Tecumseh fell to 5-6.
The game was tied at 2 after four innings but Chickasha netted seven runs in the fifth and five runs in the sixth. Tecumseh concluded its scoring with a five-spot in the bottom of the sixth as Bryon Thompson notched a two-run single. Thompson finished with three runs batted in.
Tecumseh will clash with Sulphur at 5:30 today at Harrah. Saturday, the Savages will oppose Lone Grove at 3 p.m.
