STONEWALL – The Lady Pirates won the Stonewall Tournament for the third year in a row Saturday and Danyn Lang recorded her first career home run in a 15-5 win over Silo in the championship game.
Lang was one of four member of the Lady Pirates to homer in the game that came to an end with the 10-after-4 run-rule.
Skyler Thompson had two home runs to drive in four runs and Mikayla Rutland and Jobey Savage each drove in four runs and homered. Delanie Manning had three singles.
Dale beat Silo 15-8 to start the day and won 16-13 over Stonewall in the semifinals as Silo clawed it's way back in the consolation bracket into the championship game.
The No. 1 in Class 4A Lady Pirates are now 17-1 on the season after a 12-11 setback to Morris to start the season. They will travel to Tecumseh Monday for games against Tecumseh and Lexington.
