CHANDLER – Dale was handed their third loss in a row by Chandler with a 4-1 Lions home win Monday night.

Garrett Thomsen came home on a single by Cam Lewis to give the Lions a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second and Casey Yeager doubled in the third to drive in Drake Irby.

Blake McQuain hit a single to lead off the fourth for Dale and made his way to third on a single by Scout Capps and walk to Drew Reed. Carson Hunt hit a sacrifice to right to bring in McQuain but Capps and Reed never advanced.

Ben Schroeder drove in Lewis with a single in the bottom frame to add some insurance and Chabon Anderson scored on a passed ball in the fifth.

Lewis was 2-3 with an RBI to lead the Lions. Yeager was the only member of either team with an extra base hit.

Reed was 0-1 with two walks and Carson Hunt was walked once to drive in Dale's only run.

No. 2 in Class 2A Dale (10-4) travels to Roff today at 4:30 p.m. The 9-5 Lions, No. 12 in Class 3A, host Perkins-Tryon today at 5 p.m.
