SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist and Southern Nazarene play the first installment of the softball rivalry series in Shawnee Wednesday with a 4 p.m. doubleheader.
The games were moved to avoid projected wind advisories on Tuesday.
The Lady Bison are 13-19 overall and 10-14 in the Great American Conference.
OBU bats .303 as a team, led by Kristen Grabin, who is third in the GAC with a .407 batting average. Dani Manning, the GAC Freshman of the Week, has 10 home runs and Cheyenne Demaree leads the squad with 21 RBIs. Manning is one of four Division II freshmen with 10 or more home runs.
OBU pitchers have a combined 4.99 earned run average, led by Katie Long, who is 6-4 with a 4.06 ERA.
Southern Nazarene is 14-20 overall and 10-12 in the GAC.
SNU bats .279 as a team, led by Mahina Sauer at .381. Caitlyn Curlee leads the Crimson Storm with seven home runs and 34 RBIs.
GAC Pitcher of the Week Katelyn Brown paces the pitching staff for SNU at 9-11 with a 4.07 earned run average. The staff ERA is 5.73.
