HOLDENVILLE — A 12-run explosion in the top of the third inning carried McLoud to a 19-3 blitz of Holdenville Tuesday.
McLoud, 13-4 on the season, collected 21 hits in three innings. The game was cut short on the run rule after three innings.
Jessie Wooten led McLoud’s offensive barrage with a 3-of-3 outing which included a grand-slam home run in the third. Wooten drove in five runs in the game.
Shyann Shipman came in with two hits, including a roundtripper.
Lexi Boyer finished with two doubles while Gabby Sears and Katelyn Hoover posted a double and single. Other two-hit Lady Redskins were Karlee Higdon, Rylie Walker and Carlie Norwood.
McLoud will launch 66 Conference Tournament action Thursday with a 10 a.m. matchup against Holdenville at Stroud. The tournament is under a one-day format.
McLoud will be idle Friday and Saturday.
