OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma commitment Wyatt Olds tamed perennial power Heritage Hall on a four-hitter Tuesday as McLoud prevailed 5-3.

Olds, in a 6 2/3-inning stint, struck out 12 batters and walked four. He also had a wild pitch.

All three of Heritage Hall’s runs came in the bottom of the fourth inning.

McLoud led 4-0 after two innings and added its final run in the sixth.

Damien Dye came on for Olds in the bottom of the seventh and got the final out.

Five McLoud players — Dye, Josh Maddox, Josh Brown, Wesley Olds and Tyler Jones — recorded one hit apiece. McLoud was also the recipient of five walks.

Maddox drove in two runs while Wyatt Olds and Brown drove in one run apiece.

Heritage Hall starter Preston Taylor took the pitching loss.
