SEMINOLE — Bethel swept a doubleheader from Seminole Wednesday, 14-0 and 11-1.
Both contests ended via the run rule with the opener going four innings and the nightcap five innings.
Bethel accumulated 14 hits in the opener with Terrell Dodson leading the way at 3-of-4, a triple and double. Dodson scored three times and had three runs batted in.
Brendan Carlile added three hits for Bethel and teammates Cameron Egger and Seth Jackson posted two apiece.
Bethel hurlers Jaylon Gordon, LW Moore and Jake Williams combined for a three-hitter.
In the nightcap, Bethel outhit the hosts 9-4 as Dodson and Gunner Smith doubled for the Wildcats. Easton Wurtz had a double for Seminole.
Seminole committed four errors as four Bethel runs were unearned.
Carlile and Cache Hankins combined for a four-hitter.
Bethel wasn’t so fortunate Thursday, dropping a doubleheader at Ada, 8-7 and 15-0.
In the opener, Bethel scored three runs in the top of the seventh before coming up one run short. Dodson and Egger doubled while Williams added two singles.
Ada required just four innings in the 15-0 nightcap. The Cougars barely outhit Bethel, 10-8 but the Wildcats (8-14) stranded eight runners. Smith led Bethel with two singles.
Bethel’s next action will be a 4:30 district encounter at Mcloud Monday. Bethel will also take on Purcell at 5:45.
