TULSA — Class 4A top-ranked Dale had a banner Thursday against 6A big boys at the Tulsa Union Tournament.

Dale, 22-2 on the season, knocked off fifth-ranked Broken Arrow, 21-17; third-ranked Moore, 18-11; and 12th-ranked Muskogee, 11-4.

Sara Lock was the ringleader in the 3-0 outing, going 12-of-14 at the plate with four home runs.

Lock posted three roundtrippers among her five hits and seven runs batted in. Jobey Savage added two homers among her four hits. Delanie Manning also had two homers and Lacey Savage recorded a double among four hits.

Opposite Moore, Lock notched three doubles to go along with a HR. Also homering were Rylie Premo and Savage. Skylar Shompson added three hits, including a two-bagger.

Mikayla Rutland was the standout against Muskogee with a home run, double, single and four RBI. Sydney Griggs added a double.

“We played extremely well, especially against Broken Arrow,” Dale head coach Andy Powell said. “They are a really good team that you have to score a lot of runs against. I was very pleased.”

Dale will conclude tournament play today with two games — Class 6A second-ranked Tulsa Union at 4:20 and 6A sixth-ranked Westmoore at 5:40.
