BETHEL ACRES — Bethany, up just 4-2 over Bethel after four innings, put its foot sternly on the gas pedal en route to a 13-3 triumph Thursday.

Bethany collected 10 extra-base hits, seven of which were doubles.

Bethel chalked up 12 hits but stranded nine runners.

Gunner Smith of Bethel smacked a two-run triple while Cameron Egger and Jake Williams doubled.

Egger led Bethel with a 3-of-4 plate outing. Terrell Dodson, Smith and Williams collected two hits apiece as Bethel fell to 8-17.

Williams, who hurled the opening 5 2/3 innings, surrendered nine runs and 10 hits while fanning three.

Reliever Cache Hankins gave up four runs and four hits in 1 1/3 innings.

Bethel will travel to Meeker today for a 4:30 matchup.
