SHAWNEE—The Asher Lady Indians ran in to trouble, Thursday night, as the Moore Lady Lions needed just two and a half innings to win 16-1 at the Dale Slowpitch Softball Festival at Firelake Ballfields.
Moore scored nine runs in the bottom of the first and followed that up with seven more in the second. They pounded out 14 hits, none of which were home runs with the wind blowing straight out to center field.
The Lady Indians, trailing 9-0 after the first, scored their only run in the top half of the second. Hadley led off with a double and scored on a Shelby Dixson single.
Asher had difficulty putting back to back hits together. They hit the ball hard, but just couldn't get them past the Moore defense. The Lady Indians finished with six hits in the contest.
