McDowell signs with OBU softball

Noelle McDowell, a home school student from Little Elm, Texas, has signed to play softball at Oklahoma Baptist University.
A pitcher, McDowell competes on the Texas Elite Gold team coached by Bart Bell and George Simmons. She has helped the team to top-10 national finishes, including the “A” nationals, Colorado Fireworks and Hall of Fame tournaments.
McDowell also has played for Texas Rapid Fire and Texas Glory.
“Noelle has a chance to step in and be an impact playe,r and she also will be a strong addition to the campus community,” said OBU softball coach Pam Fink.
The daughter of Allen and Vicky McDowell, McDowell attended Forsan High School as a freshman where she made the “A” honor roll and was all-region and all-area orchestra.
“OBU provides an environment where I can continue to grow in my relationship with Christ. It is supportive and has encouraging professors and staff and a competitive softball team with coaches who genuinely care about their athletes,” McDowell said. “I desire to please the Lord in all my words and actions and His guiding hand has truly been evident in my college search.”
McDowell plans to major in graphic design.
