Oklahoma Baptist picked up its 26th and 27th volleyball wins of the season Saturday at Bethany College, moving this year’s team into second on the school’s season wins list.
Coach Anna Howle’s squad defeated host Bethany College 3-0 and then improved its neutral court record to 14-0 on the year with a 3-0 win over Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference leader Tabor.
OBU tied the 1981 squad’s 26 wins total in the first match and took sole possession of second place with the second victory. The school record is 31 wins in 1980 under coach Kathy Welter. OBU has three more regular season matches.
The Lady Bison knocked off Bethany 25-11, 25-21, 25-12. OBU topped Tabor 25-21, 25-21, 25-18.
Now 27-9, the Lady Bison travel to Texas to take on Lubbock Christian Friday and Wayland Baptist Saturday.
