OBU women to face UCO

Oklahoma Baptist’s women, 3-0 and ranked third in the NAIA, will take on 12th-ranked, NCAA Division 11 Central Oklahoma at 11:30 a.m. today at Rankin Williams Fieldhouse in Weatherford.
UCO is 0-1, losing its opener to Pittsburg State by one point on a 3-point shot in the waning seconds.
OBU is coming off a 63-61 victory over Langston last Saturday.
John McCullough’s OBU squad ranks third in the NAIA in three-point field goal defense at 18.8 percent and eighth nationally in field goal percentage defense at 29.9 percent.
Taujhnae Travis is OBU’s scoring leader, averaging 16.3 points.
OBU and UCO haven’t played each other since the 1998-99 season.
The Lady Bison will also play Southwestern State Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Weatherford.
