Hornets fall on the road

Macomb lost its seventh straight game of the 2010 season Thursday with a 48-14 setback at Oklahoma Christian Academy.
This brings up a 1-7 overall record for the Hornets, who are now 0-7 opposite District B-2 squads. It was the first win of the season for OCA’s Warriors (1-7, 1-6).
Macomb trailed only 8-6 after the first quarter, but fell into a 22-6 halftime rut. OCA led 32-6 going into the fourth quarter.
Scotty Robinett scored both of Macomb’s touchdowns on the night — a 29-yard run in the first quarter and a 3-yard run in the fourth. The Hornets came away with 145 rushing yards and 16 passing yards, compared to 303 rushing yards and 67 passing yards for the hosts.
Macomb will host district opponent Fox at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at Tecumseh’s Farris Willingham Field.
