WELLSTON — Tyler Factor earned a pitching victory Saturday as Tecumseh clipped Seminole, 7-3.
BETHEL ACRES — Juniors Brandon Williams and Derek McMahon posted pitching victories Saturday as Bethel rang up convincing victories over Holdenville (17-0) and Stroud (14-1).
Both games went just 4 1/2 innings because of the run rule.
Kaylee Wilkins summed it up best.
“Sweet revenge. It’s just awesome,” Wilkins, a Dale High School senior, said just moments after she and her fellow Lady Pirates smothered defending champion Pawnee for the Class 2A basketball title Saturday at State Fair Arena.

An early two-point slump didn’t daunt Dale Friday, and the Lady Pirates dispatched Snyder, 40-23, to reach today’s final round of the Class 2A state tournament at State Fair Arena.
Dale, 26-4, will clash with Pawnee at 10:30 a.m. today to see who has the rights to top-team status. Pawnee, the defending state champion, smothered Washington 64-45 in Friday’s semis.
“I was real pleased,” Dale head coach Benny Burnett said of his team’s performance Friday. “(Snyder) tried to take away Brenna (Burnett) and Kaylee (Wilkins), and the other three girls really stepped up.”
The Dale Pirates’ quest for the Class 2A basketball championship hit a roadblock Friday night.
Talihina’s Jordan Eagleroad torched the Pirates’ defense in the State Fair Arena nets, giving the Golden Tigers a 58-34 win.

In a thrilling 2A state quarterfinal with a little bit of everything, Dale rallied for a 71-69 overtime victory over Hulbert Thursday night at Norman High School.

A late rally was just enough Thursday afternoon as Tishomingo slipped by Prague, 31-27, to end the Lady Red Devils’ season and their bid for a Class 3A state title.
The game was held at Choctaw High School.
The fourth-seeded Lady Indians took advantage of 13 Prague turnovers — five in the first half and eight in the second — to cut away at the Lady Red Devils’ lead and take over down the stretch. Three turnovers in a row were the most costly.
“We threw it away at a time that was crucial,” said Prague coach Jay Depanion. “That really, really hurt us, because we had the tempo and the pace. The turnovers caught up with us.
We just fell a little short.”

Sierra Ward scored Shawnee’s third goal, assisted by Parsons, and Parson finished her hat trick with an unassisted shot late.
Dale needed a half to get used to the surroundings of the “Big House,” but once they did, Newkirk offered little resistance in the Lady Pirates charging into today’s Class 2A semifinals. Dale handed the Lady Tigers their walking papers in a 31-21 triumph.

Hill surrendered only three hits, and McLoud’s only run came on a balk.
